Each subsequent visit you collect your score card at the front desk, and continue to work problems to improve your score and rank. No part of the climber touches the mat once an attempt has been started.
Climbers must start with both hands in the designated start holds, with all parts of the body off the mat before the first move is made.
Climbers must finish controlled with both hands matched on the marked final hold for three seconds.
Climbers must only use the specified holds.
Climbers will be allocated points at the end of each round for the purpose of calculating an overall rank.
Climbing Etiquette:
Climbers must wait their turn to attempt a boulder problem.
Climbers must follow all the normal safety procedures and etiquette of the climbing gym.
Climbers are responsible for their own safety. Climbers need to ensure there is adequate padding below them before starting, and organise a spotter if necessary.
Scoring:
Score cards must be verified by a Bloc staff member and submitted at the end of each visit so the live scoreboard can be updated accurately.
An ascent of a boulder problem from the start hold/s to the finish hold scores the allocated points for the climber. Scores will range from 10 to 70 points.
A flash ascent of the problem, first attempt without touching the holds beforehand will result in a bonus point for that problem.
